New in our range of medium frequency induction heaters is the lightweight 3.5kW generator for mounting, dismounting and pre-heating of metal components. Applicable in all industries where industrial heating is needed, especially where there is not enough space to work with conventional methods. Ideal for work on site.
Sometimes a dismounting job has to be done on site. With its low weight of only 7,85 kg and its small dimensions (320x350x150mm), it is easy to take along and fits easily into a backpack. Once on site, the generator can be connected to the mains (230V).
Operation is via a 4.3" touch screen on which the settings and various heating modes can be selected. The log function saves heating data, which can be exported to a USB stick. These can then be read into Excel.
Delta-T for more control and a stress-free installation.
The new MF Quick-Heater 3.0 - 3.5kW heater features a Delta-T function. With this Delta-T function, a maximum temperature difference between two points can be set. This is done by 2 magnetic sensors. This makes it possible to measure and control the temperature of the inside and outside of a work piece.
Advantages of Delta-T
- An even and uniform heating and avoids material stress. This ensures more control and a stress-free mounting of your valuable bearings.
- The preset maximum temperature difference between 2 points can never be exceeded.
Flexible inductors are available for heating workpieces. Materials that can be heated with these include iron, steel, stainless steel, titanium and certain bronze alloys. The power applied to a workpiece can be up to 3.5kW.
There is a choice of 3 flexible inductors (5, 7.5 and 10 metres) with a temperature class of 180°C. They have a diameter of Ø12 mm and a minimum winding diameter of approx. 90 mm. They can be wound on, around or into a workpiece and are therefore widely applicable.
Scope of delivery
The delivery of a MF Quick-Heater 3.0 - 3.5kW includes: a generator, mains cable with IEC connection, 2 temperature sensors and 1 pair of heat-resistant gloves (protection up to 250°C). The inductors are ordered separately.

Vaassen, February 2019. At the Hannover Messe Bega Special Tools will introduce a new generation of low frequency induction heaters. These are used for controlled heating of bearings, gears and other machine parts. By using smart processor technology, there is better control over a stress-free and controlled heating process. The heating process can be recorded by the log function.
Correct bearing assembly is one of the critical processes that affect the lifespan of a bearing. Requirements for correct installation are increasing. Especially for very expensive bearings or for bearings in hard-to-reach locations. With the introduction of the new series, Bega meets the demand from the industry to be able to exercise a great(er) control over the heating and assembly process.
Two series have been developed: a BASIC series and a SMART series.
The BASIC series replace part of the current BETEX range. These heaters work with a simple keyboard and have a single temperature sensor. Heating can be done in time or temperature mode. Smart electronics ensure optimal heating and efficient use of power.
The SMART series is used when more control over the heating process is needed. These have a modern easy-to-use touchscreen. The heating process can be seen in a clear graph. Data can be saved and externally documented via a USB connection. By means of a double temperature measurement (Delta T) it is possible to fully influence the temperature progress.
Now it is possible for the operator to determines exactly at what rate a bearing is being heated. Speed is therefore not decisive, but stress-free heating is. This prevents damage.
Induction heating is a sustainable way of heating. It replaces old techniques such as ovens, oil baths or open fire, where much more energy is consumed. These methods cause pollution and safety risks. BETEX heaters are robust and made for industrial and intensive use. These modern induction heaters are very efficient in their energy consumption.

Beware of Copy Cats
On various occasions it has been brought to our attention that our Bega (Betex) heaters are being copied.
We have received pictures from China (can be expected) and recently even from USA Florida! (surprising).
In both cases the parties involved are ex-distributors of Bega Special Tools.
